LO3: (P4) Identify and repurpose content for use in the profile

Image
Ardens Secret-  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3OD8SJ9Ack This was my short film made in Unit 5, it clearly shows how I repurposed it to export this video on to YouTube. Originally this was done on Adobe Premier and was a lossless film- therefore I repurposed it to H.264 as an MP4, therefore it became a lossy file. This youtube video is a final draft of my short film and only needs bit of tweaking before it goes on my website. Eclipse-   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUK-kwwWJ2Q&t=9s My music video was made for Unit 15, this has been exported onto YouTube from when I repurposed it to a H.264 an MP4 this was done so  it would become a lossy file when it goes on to Youtube, this is also so anyone can access it which is helpful for job interviews and universities.  Vintage Leather Bag-  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1YCsXOE9PA   This was my stop motion we made for Unit 20, this was done using Premier and repurposed to be made in...

LO2: (P3) Plan the creation of the media profile

Image
For my personal media profile I am going to show my skills on the career pathway of a videographer. The documents stated in my P2 post show a variety of skills which make it appeal to prospective employers, freelance opportunities, higher education and interviews. I have showed a large variety of software's which I have worked in to make my media products successful, this a good strength to have for prospective employers and interviews as it shows I can adapt quickly to a new program and  shows my ability to work in a variety of software's. Another strength of my personal media profile is the content, having my units displayed on my website which relate to audio visual will show the work I put into making each unit finished at a good quality. This will be helpful to the target audience of higher education as it will inform them of how to present their work to a high standard. In addition, another strength of showing my personal media profile presented with my audio visual e...

LO2: (P2) Scope the personal media profile for an identified purpose

Image
(P2) I have chosen to create a personal media profile based on my career pathway of videography. The reasons for creating a website are to showcase my skills I hold, which is useful for showing universities and employers who would be interested in seeing my work. Another reason is that I can keep all my work within that pathway in the same place, so if an employer wanted to access work I created they can see everything else I have produced which may be important to them. A website is also a great reason to show my skills digitally because they are easily accessible to everyone because they have been  digitised, therefore I won't lose any of my work and anyone globally can access it.       Audio Visual (Unit 5,15,20) I Used Adobe Premier to create and edit content. E.G two examples of tools used for example razor tool, b&w and the effects created. The reason we used Adobe Premier is that it is industry sta...

LO1: (P1) Explain the purpose of a personal media profile

Image
A personal media profile is an organised sample of your work and skill set such as a CV. They are usually used when applying for a job or university. This Is because it allows organisations to have an understanding and proof of what useful skills you possess. It also gives an employer/Uni to get an understanding of some of your capabilities, this is also useful for interviews where they can access your personal media profile whether it be digital or physical. Digital portfolio example:  http://brendanbarnes.com/about This is an example of a digital portfolio which clearly presents his work in cinematography. This portfolio would be used for jobs if he was to make a new music video for someone for example and creating short films for clients. The purpose of this portfolio is to allow and present their works clearly and in the best way to serve the purpose to his audience so they understand what skills and talents he has. This particular portfolio is presented easy...

LO1: (M1) Discuss the uses and benefits of having a personal media profile

Both digital and physical portfolios are useful to present your work and are commonly used in the present day. They have many benefits however some limitations. A digital portfolio is a great way to present your cinematography work to the intended audience as it allows you to show them your skills via examples from videos you've made which wouldn't be possible if you was to do a physical portfolio. These would be great for job interviews and universities as it allows you to show of all your skills on one portfolio. Although a physical portfolio wouldn't be as useful if I was to showcase my skills on cinematography this is because you cant show examples of your finished work on paper, however, you can use a physical portfolio for interviews or educational work as it gives the company a sense of how you plan your work and what you did to get the finished project, this can be via mood boards, mind maps, blue sky thinking and other techniques shown physically. Another grea...
